Arduino Uno

The Arduino Uno is an open-source microcontroller board developed by Arduino.cc. The board is equipped with sets of digital and analog input/output (I/O) pins that may be interfaced to various expansion boards (shields) and other circuits. Arduino boards are able to read inputs – light on a sensor, a finger on a button, or a Twitter message – and turn it into an output – activating a motor, turning on an LED, publishing something online. These are widely used in robotics, electronics and automation projects.

LDR Module

Model: LM393 LDR Module

The LDR Sensor Module is used to detect the presence of light / measuring the intensity of light. The output of the module goes high in the presence of light and it becomes low in the absence of light. The sensitivity of the signal detection can be adjusted using potentiometer. It can be used to make bulbs that automatically turn off in the morning and turn on in the evening.

Gas Sensor

The Grove – Gas Sensor module is useful for gas leakage detection (home and industry). It is suitable for detecting H2, LPG, CH4, CO, Alcohol, Smoke or Propane. The sensitivity of the sensor can be adjusted by a potentiometer. It can be used in the projects to detect gas leakage, food spoilage and simple fire and smoke alarms.

Humidity and Temperature Sensor

It is a basic digital temperature and humidity sensor. It can be used to make a simple roof-top weather station that records data over hours, days, or months of the year. Inside the room it can be used as a thermostat to control the air-conditioner or heater. You can use it in greenhouse control and monitoring system.

Servo Motor

Servo motors are high torque motors which are commonly used in robotics and several other applications due to the fact that it’s easy to control their rotation. Servo motors have a geared output shaft which can be electrically controlled to turn one (1) degree at a time. It can be used in projects to open door-locks, lift items, turn robotic arms or other parts, steering system for cars and to control rudder of a plane or boat. 

Bluetooth Module

It is a very cool module which can add two-way (full-duplex) wireless functionality to your projects. You can use this module to communicate between two microcontrollers like Arduino and a Phone or Laptop. It can be used to remotely control cars, planes, boats or send and receive data from devices like weather station, home automation system, transfer files, and receive camera streams.

You can use LEDs to indicate something or to check the input and output signals to and from the board.

Breadboard

A breadboard is a construction base for prototyping of electronics. A breadboard is used to build and test circuits quickly before finalizing any circuit design. The breadboard has many holes into which circuit components like ICs and resistors, shields, motors, LEDs, buttons and boards can be connected easily without the need for soldering.

Resistors (1KΩ, 10KΩ, 220Ω, 4.7KΩ,470Ω)

Resistors are used to reduce current flow, adjust signal levels, to divide voltages, bias active elements, and terminate transmission lines, among other uses. For example, resistors can be used to light a 1.5V LED on a 5V power supply.

Dot Matrix Module

A dot matrix display is an array of light emitting diodes (LEDs) arranged in a 8×8 matrix that is used to display a programmed data/information. It can be used to display information as scrolling or blinking text or as static alphabets and numbers.

LCD Display 2×16

LCD1602, or 1602 character-type liquid crystal display, is a kind of dot matrix module to show letters, numbers, and characters and so on. It’s composed of 5×7 or 5×11 dot matrix positions; each position can display one character. There’s a dot pitch between two characters and a space between lines, thus separating characters and lines. The model 1602 means it displays 2 lines of 16 characters.

Jumper Wires (male-male, male-female, female-female)

A jump wire (also known as jumper wire, or jumper) is an electrical wire, or group of them in a cable, with a connector or pin at each end, which is normally used to interconnect the components of a breadboard or other prototype or test circuit, internally or with other equipment or components, without soldering.

Double Digit

Most 7 Segment display are common Cathode, which mean that each LED GND pins (Cathode) are connected together and the VCC+ pins (Anode). Here’s a diagram of the 2-digit 7 Segment display. It can be used to make simple timer, stopwatch, clock or to display other numeric output.

Push-button is a simple switch mechanism to control some aspect of a machine or a process.

IR Distance Sensor Module

The IR sensor module consists mainly of the IR Transmitter and Receiver, and Variable Resistor (to control its range).  IR LED emits light, in the range of Infrared frequency. IR light is invisible to human eye but the receiver can detect reflected IR light from transmitter and calculate distance of objects. It can be used to make line following car, obstacle avoiding car, short distance IR radar or a wheel speed counter.

RGB Module

RGB LED modules can emit various colors of light. They are manufactured by packaging three LEDs of red, green, and blue into a transparent or semitransparent plastic shell and have four pins.

IR Receiver

An infrared receiver, or IR receiver, is hardware that receives information from an infrared remote control. This information is then decoded and used in order to perform specific tasks. It can be used to control a remote-controlled car, robot or to enter numeric input.

IR Remote

(InfraRed remote control) A handheld, wireless device used to send input. Infrared light requires line of sight to its destination.

Joystick

The Joystick module is similar to analog joysticks found in gamepads. It is made by mounting two potentiometers at a 90 degrees angle. The potentiometers are connected to a short stick centered by springs. This module produces an output of around 2.5V from X and Y when it is in resting position.

Potentiometer

A potentiometer is a three-terminal resistor with a sliding or rotating contact that forms an adjustable voltage divider. If only two terminals are used, one end and the wiper, it acts as a variable resistor or rheostat.

Water level Sensor

Water level sensor is an easy-to-use, cost-effective high level/drop recognition sensor, which is obtained by having a series of parallel wires exposed traces measured droplets/water volume in order to determine the water level. Easy to complete water to analog signal conversion and output analog values can be directly read by Arduino development board to achieve the level alarm effect.

Motor Driver

It is used to control your motors with arduino. It can accelerate motors and change their direction. It is required for cars, gliders and other such projects

Buzzer

Buzzer is used to indicate something in your projects by making a beep sound.

This battery clip allows you to use a 9v battery.  it has  2 wires to use so you can use it without soldering.

Ultrasonic Sensor

The HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor is a sensor used for detecting the distance to an object using sonar. … The HC-SR04 uses non-contact ultrasound sonar to measure the distance to an object, and consists of two ultrasonic transmitters (basically speakers), a receiver, and a control circuit. You can use it to make obstacle-avoiding car and shoes  or stick for blind people.

Integrated Circuit (74HC595)

74HC595 is a shift register. It receives data serially from the microcontroller and then sends out this data through parallel pins. 74HC595 is used to increase the output pins of your Microcontroller.
